Community Action Council

Mission

The mission of Scarsdale Medical Group’s Community Advisory Council (CAC) is to: (i) assist Scarsdale Medical Group increase and strengthen its presence in the community, (ii) identify, analyze, prioritize and implement community health initiatives that can bolster Scarsdale Medical Group’s achievement in the community, and (iii) generate involvement and support of volunteer-driven, community, non-profit events/activities. The role of the CAC is solely advisory in nature.


Who Are We Are

The CAC members are committed community members from diverse backgrounds who volunteer their time with Scarsdale Medical Group in order to fulfill the mission as outlined above. The backgrounds, expertise and relationships of individual CAC members, provide Scarsdale Medical Group with a deeper connection to the community, foster opportunities for health advocacy on the state and city level, and assist Scarsdale Medical Group in developing programs and outreach strategies that focus on the health needs of the communities that it serves.


Who We Serve

The geographic areas of focus for the CAC are as Harrison, Scarsdale, White Plains, Mamaroneck, Rye, Larchmont, Northeast Yonkers, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Hawthorne, Thornwood, Pleasantville, Armonk, Mount Kisco and Chappaqua.


Structure

Effective September 2011, the CAC meets on a bi-monthly basis. Meetings are chaired by an individual CAC member on a rotational basis in collaboration with Scarsdale Medical Group leadership and its Director of Community Relations. Unless otherwise changed, meetings are scheduled for January, March, May, July, September and November.

We are always looking to establish new relationships in the community.
