Infectious Disease
We are happy to have the services of 4 Board certified infectious disease physicians. Doctors Croen and Goldberg are office based consultants, and Doctors Chu and Sangchan work both in the office and at White Plains Hospital. These physicians have more than 75 years of combined clinical experience in this field. They are capable of treating the full spectrum of infectious disease problems including HIV disease, complex hospital-acquired infections, travel related infections, Lyme, mycobacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections. Intravenous medications can be administered in the office when necessary.
Travel medicine is an area in which we have particular expertise. Dr. Goldberg created and maintains a comprehensive travel website (mdtravelhealth.com) that we utilize in giving very up to date travel advice. This website is an excellent resource for all travelers. Every physician in the practice can provide the necessary vaccines for travel including Yellow fever vaccine.
Immunizations for routine healthcare are administered and monitored with the help of a special template in our electronic medical record. The system alerts the physician when patients are due for a vaccine. We offer all available vaccines including newer ones such as HPV (Gardisil) and the shingles vaccine (Zostavax).
