Charlotte Zisman, MD

Dr. Charlotte Zisman, an expert Neurologist and Epileptologist, completed her medical school training at Universidad IberoAmericana in the Dominican Republic and an internship at Lincoln Medical Center Cornell Weil. She then pursued a residency in neurology at the New York Medical College, where she earned the position of chief resident. Dr. Zisman subsequently completed two fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy at North Shore University Hospital Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Dr. Zisman’s hospital expertise includes Epilepsy EEG, EMG, IVIG and lumbar puncture. She was the recipient of the prestigious Penry Neurostimulation for Epilepsy Program Award in 2018 and was awarded the 2015 NRSP Neurology Scholar Program Scholarship. Dr. Zisman holds certifications in advanced cardiac life support and basic cardiac life support.

Her clinical interests and expertise include neurology, epilepsy, EEG intracranial surgical monitoring and brain mapping. Dr. Zisman has mastered techniques that address the physical, cognitive and emotional needs of patients suffering diseases affecting the brain and nervous system. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has a comprehensive approach to medical care that focuses on delivering companionate care to patients and their families.
