Joyce Reyes-Thomas, M.D. earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from New York University. She attended medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by residency training at the Brown University Internal Medicine Program at Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital. Dr. Reyes-Thomas then completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Fellow. She was the recipient of the Leo M. Davidoff Award for outstanding teaching of medical students.
She is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Reyes-Thomas is an active member of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.
Dr. Reyes-Thomas is dedicated to the treatment of systemic rheumatologic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and gout. She also has special expertise in treating soft-tissue rheumatism and osteoarthritis. Her goals are to obtain remission from systemic inflammatory disease and to provide state-of-the-art collaborative care with her patients and their treating physicians.
