Lidia Pousada, MD

Lidia Pousada MD enrolled in a six-year combined BS/MD program at City College of New York graduating with a BS and then completed her MD degree at New York Medical College. Following a summer fellowship program in geriatrics at New York University Medical School, Dr. Pousada completed a residency in internal medicine and primary care at Montefiore Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Pousada is a fellow of the American Geriatrics Society and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Pousada has held faculty positions at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and City University Medical Center. She is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York Medical College. Dr. Pousada has authored numerous publications, including books, articles and abstracts on a number of topics in geriatrics, emergency medicine and perioperative care.

Prior to joining Scarsdale Medical Group, Dr. Pousada directed several geriatric departments in hospitals throughout Westchester County and the Bronx. In addition, she has maintained a private practice since 1986. She is deeply committed to comprehensive health care and particularly enjoys solving complex medical issues with her patients, with whom she strives to have a warm and personal relationship.

Dr. Pousada is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational Italian and French.
