Mayra Rodriguez, MD, obtained her undergraduate degree from Columbia College in New York City and her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and a three-year post graduate fellowship program in nephrology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Rodriguez has participated in a number of research projects on kidney disease and hemodialysis during her fellowship and has authored publications on various subjects in nephrology. She was the recipient of the Outstanding House Officer in Internal Medicine Award during her residency at Montefiore Medical Center and has served on various committees.
Dr. Rodriguez is dedicated to the practice of medicine and is expert in optimizing treatment for complicated chronic kidney disease patients including peritoneal and home dialysis. Dr. Rodriguez was the nephrologist for a private practice with a focus on peritoneal dialysis and early kidney transplant referrals. She lives in Westchester County and is a student of Tae Kwon Do with 1st degree black belt status.
