Michael C. Tamimi, MD

Michael C. Tamimi, MD is board-certified neurologist who specializes in headache medicine. Dr. Tamimi completed his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at Rutgers University, graduating with honors. He then obtained his medical degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.

Following medical school, Dr. Tamimi trained at New York University in Manhattan, completing an internal medicine internship and neurology residency where he served as administrative chief resident during his final year. After residency, Dr. Tamimi went on to sub-specialize in headache medicine at New York University.

Dr. Tamimi is certified by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology and is an active member of the American Headache Society and American Academy of Neurology. His clinical interests including migraine management, medication overuse for headaches, and post-concussion care.

He has expertise treating various headache disorders include migraines, tension-type, and cervicogenic headaches, as well as performing procedures such as BOTOX, cranial nerve blocks, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks and trigger point injections.
