Tisha Thomas RN-C, MSN, FNP-BC, NP-C received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s in Family Nursing Practice from CUNY Lehman College in the Bronx. She has 10 years’ experience working as a staff nurse in medical/surgical, progressive care and telemetry units in several Westchester County hospitals.
Ms. Thomas is a board-certified family nurse practitioner by both the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She holds certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. Ms. Thomas is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association and Academy of Medical Surgical Nursing. She recently co-authored an article on the management of Type 2 DM: a practice guide for NPs in the Nurse Practitioner journal.
Her clinical interests include health promotion, disease prevention, and diabetic management along with the provision of patient-centered and quality care.
